The WSR has been carrying out the long-term project „Notable Women of the 20th Century,“ which has so far resulted in monographs on Neda Božinović (Gordana Stojaković, 2002), a feminist, peace activist, and politician; Jelica Rajačić Čapaković (Svenka Savić, 2008), a politician and the first Secretary for Gender Equality in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina; and Erika Marjaš (Svenka Savić, 2018), a renowned prima ballerina of the SNT Ballet. All of these monographs employ a polyphonic approach: the woman tells her own story, the author provides the narrative, and numerous ‘others’ contribute by sharing their memories of the notable woman.
Within this project activities on the topic have been initiated, such as:
- Notable women from Subotica in 20th century: feminists, artists, peacekeepers, beneficiaries
- Women on postage stamps in Serbia and Montenegro
- Notable Jewish Women in Subotica
- Notable Jewish Women in Subotica: a life story of Sonja Licht
- We found Rosa Luxembourg: 2018-2020
- Mira Brtka, an artist and film director: Have Yugoslav women conquer or stir Rome?
- Mira Brtka a painter, fashion designer, theatre and film director
- Mira Brtka, Wikipedia
- Grace Hopper – programmer and admiral
